Henriette Engelhardt-W?lfler, Prof. Dr. rer. soc., ist seit 2006 Professorin für Demografie und seit 2012 Leiterin des Staatsinstituts für Familienforschung an der Otto-Friedrich-Universit?t Bamberg. Sie wurde 1968 in Bruchsal geboren und studierte Soziologie und Statistik an der Universit?t Mannheim sowie Epidemiologie an der LMU München. Sie war als Wissenschaftlerin an der Universit?t Bern (Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaftliche Fakult?t/Institut für Soziologie, 1992 – 1998), am Max-Planck-Institut für Bildungsforschung in Berlin (1998 – 2000), am Max-Planck-Institut für Demografische Forschung in Rostock (2000 – 2002) und am Institut für Demographie der ?sterreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften in Wien (2002 – 2006) t?tig. Darüber hinaus war Prof. Engelhardt-W?lfler Gastwissenschaftlerin an der Duke University, North Carolina (2000), am Internationalen Institut für Angewandte Systemanalyse (IIASA) in Laxenburg, ?sterreich (2002), und an der ETH Zürich (2004). Seit 2020 ist sie Mitglied der Bayerischen Akademie der Wissenschaften. Ihre Forschungsinteressen liegen auf dem Gebiet der Sozialdemografie, der Familiendemografie und Familiensoziologie, der Sozialepidemiologie und der Kausalanalyse. Prof. Engelhardt-W?lfler hat zu diesen Themen zahlreiche Artikel in referierten Fachzeitschriften publiziert.
