Sociology Modules for Export to other Master's Programs

Many master's programs at the Otto-Friedrich University Bamberg offer an extension or supplementary area within the program, allowing students to incorporate modules from other subject areas. The basis for this is the examination and study regulations of the respective main subject, as well as the approval of the modules by the Sociology department. In principle, any module from the Master's program in Sociology can be included in the extension or supplementary area of other subjects. For students who have no previous knowledge in Sociology, a few modules from the Bachelor's program in Sociology are also made available.

The modules in Sociology that can be included in the extension or supplementary areas of other programs allow for specializations in the following areas:

  • Education, labor, family, life course
  • Population, migration, integration
  • Empirical social research
  • European and global studies
  • Communication and internet
  • Labor market, organization, human resources
