At November 4^th 2019, we had our first small simulation conference in Bamberg, the MiniMUN. It was our first opportunity to test out our theoretical knowledge about how a UN conference works and how the "rules of procedure" (the rules that provide the procedural framework for a conference) are applied. Each of us were given one Member State to represent in the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). After hours of debating and negotiating about the topic "Reducing Global Inequality", we passed two resolutions. This first insight into international diplomacy illustrated how challenging it is to approach global issues within the international community. After this experience, we can't wait to represent the Republic of Uganda at the NMUN conference 2020 in New York!
