The Bachelor's and Master's degree courses in Vocational Education/Social Pedagogy (formerly Teaching Qualification for Vocational Schools/Social Pedagogy and Social Services) differ from other teacher training courses in their close connection to jobs in the social sector.
In three study sections, you will deal theoretically, analytically and practically with questions of vocational education, its preparation for teaching and its communication in social education institutions of all kinds.
With a sound scientific basis, you will increase your ability to reflect on the problems of initial, continuing and further training, and to design and further develop schools and teaching.

Structure of this Master's degree

The Master's degree program in Vocational Education/Social Pedagogy and Social Services prepares students for the teaching profession at vocational schools and enables access to the preparatory service (?Referendariat“). The focuses of the degree course are
- in-depth studies in the subject sciences of the vocational subject area and in the area of EWS/vocational education
- didactics of the vocational subject area.
The program leads to an in-depth examination of scientific and vocational pedagogical issues related to the professional field of social care/social pedagogy; it enables students to implement these in vocational training processes.
