EMAC paper successfully presented
Instagram is becoming more and more important as a marketing channel in e-commerce. On the role of influencer travel on the success of a post, the chair held the advanced seminar "PuL-M-04: Seminar Supply Chain Management I" in the past summer semester 2020. The aim of the seminar is to provide the students who are at the end of their master’s degree with skills that will enable them to work on topics relevant to practice at a high, demanding scientific level.
The ultimate test in this context is going through a double-blind assessment process. Fortunately, this has now been achieved again. Under the guidance of Dr. Asdecker, the students Mario Landwehrjohann, Yannic Vogel and Kilian Vornberger successfully completed the paper "Influencer Marketing on Instagram: Exploring the Role of Travel and Other Factors on a Post's Success" at the "European Marketing Academy Conference", EMAC for short (JOURQUAL: D) , submitted and presented on May 26th, 2021 at the virtual "EMAC 2021 Annual Conference".
On this way, the chair congratulates everyone involved! It's great to see that we are able to train extremely motivated and technically competent students at the University of Bamberg. Particularly noteworthy at this point are the outstanding teamwork and independent way of working of the group, which showed enormous commitment beyond the end of the seminar. Knowledge and methodology can be conveyed, but you have such an attitude and such a character or you don't. So a big thank you, dear Mario, Yannic, and Kilian, for attending our demanding seminar. We will continue to follow your career very closely in the future!
