Prof. Dr. Andresen and Prof. Dr. DeSivatte win the JGM Best Paper Award
Prof. Andresen receives the Journal of Global Mobility (JGM) Best Paper Award for the third time; this time together with her colleague Prof. DeSivatte for the article "Individual Antecedents in Experiential Cultural Intelligence Development". The official award ceremony will take place at the EURAM Conference 2020, which will be held in Dublin in December, 4 to 6.
The winning paper examines an intercultural, experience-based learning intervention. Based on Experiential Learning Theory and Uncertainty Management Theory, Prof. Andresen and Prof. DeSivatte tested the effect of the learning intervention on the development of cultural intelligence at several points in time. The analyses show that participation in the learning intervention increased participants’ cultural intelligence, whereby the development differed significantly depending on learning type and personality characteristics.
